| BAIDURI BANK REWARDS STAFF OF INCOMM SDN BHD |

Baiduri Bank held a special award ceremony on 16 September 2002 for Hjh Suriyati @ Shamsiana Hj Bujang, a staff of Incomm Sdn Bhd at Sengkurong Branch.
On 15 June 2002, Hjh Suriyati was serving a client when she became suspicious of the name on the card, which appeared in the warning bulletin issued by Baiduri Bank. She alerted a colleague to call the police while delaying the cardholder’s transaction. Her courageous action resulted in the successful arrest of the fraudster. The card used by the fraudster was confirmed by the issuing bank to be a counterfeit card. It was believed that the fraudster was linked to early counterfeit cases in the country in 2001.
For Hjh Suriyati’s valiant action, she received a total cash reward of USD1,499, Certificates from MasterCard International and Visa International following Baiduri Bank’s recommendations to the card associations.
Special Appreciation letters from MasterCard International was also given to Baiduri Bank.
This special ceremony was witnessed by the Manager of Incomm, personnel from Royal Brunei Police Force and Baiduri Bank. |
