Baiduri Bank today (23 August 2004) announced the official opening of its Tutong branch, conveniently located at Unit 1, Tutong Central Mall, the new shopping complex in the district.

This latest addition in the bank’s expanding network brings the total number of branches to 10, and complements 16 ATMs across the country. Similar to the recently opened branch at The Mall, Baiduri Bank Tutong branch also features a modern interior design that reflects the dynamism and innovative spirit of the bank. This is also in line with the bank’s new branding campaign “It’s A Great Big World” that reinforces Baiduri Bank’s commitment to provide world-class, accessible and innovative financial products and services, tailored to the needs of Bruneians.

The opening of Tutong branch is a strategic move in view of the growing importance of Tutong district as one of the focus areas for many government initiatives and development projects. The branch offers full-banking service to commercial establishments and about 40,000 residents in Tutong district.

The opening ceremony held at Baiduri Bank Tutong branch this morning was officiated by Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Paduka Awang Haji Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Yusof, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Present at the ceremony were Mr. Pierre Imhof, General Manager of Baiduri Bank and other senior managers and officers of the bank. More than 150 invited guests from the business and government sectors were also present at the ceremony.

The official ceremony was concluded with a tour of the premise and facilities led by Mr Lim Soon Thing, manager of Baiduri Bank Tutong branch.
