Baiduri Bank today presented a joint sponsorship package with MasterCard International to Inspector Alfie Wayne Boyd to attend the MasterCard 18th Asia Pacific Fraud Conference which will be held from 04 - 06 September 2006 in Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, Thailand.
The presentation took place at Baiduri Card Centre, Kiarong Complex. The sponsorship package was presented by Mr Pierre Imhof, General Manager of Baiduri Bank to Inspector Alfie Wayne Boyd from the Royal Brunei Police Force. Also present was Mr Ti Eng Hui, Deputy General Manager of Retail Banking and Branch Network, Ms Lee Ai Cheng, Manger of Baiduri Bank Card Centre and other senior officers of the Bank. MasterCard’s Global Security and Risk Services are hosting the Annual Fraud Conference with the theme of this year’s conference ‘Innovation Through Collaboration’. The three-day event will cover issues in card fraud, tools and strategies necessary to combat payment systems fraud, updates on MasterCard’s fraud management strategies and new fraud control programs and initiatives. Panelists will comprise of international experts and law enforcement agencies.
At this annual conference, leading industry experts, top practitioners and Law Enforcement counterparts will speak on the global best practices and situations being leveraged to protect organizations large and small. Other issues that will be addressed include cyber crime investigation, cross border co-operations, account date compromise incidents and exchange of intelligence, focusing on how best to conduct and sharing of practical and best investigative practices.
Over the years, Baiduri Bank has sponsored a number of fraud prevention activities and conferences. Baiduri Bank will continue its efforts towards fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, working closely with the Government and local non-profit organizations to create a strong and positive impact in community development.
