Baiduri Bank Recreation Club, a committee that aims to provide a variety of sports and recreational activities to staff members of the Baiduri Bank Group, organised a ‘Family Afternoon At the Movies’ on Sunday, 15 January 2006, at the Empire Cinema.
The event was a great success with more than 300 staff members and their families turned up to enjoy a buffet lunch followed by a complimentary movie at the Empire Cinema. There were two choices of movie – a special sneak preview of ‘The Memoirs of a Geisha’ starring Zhang Ziyi, Gong Li and Michelle Yeoh; and ‘Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’, a highly popular animation movie particularly among children.
This event is the first of a series of exciting activities planned for 2006. Previous activities organised by the Baiduri Bank Recreation Club includes high-tea, bowling challenge, football and badminton tournaments, trip to Labuan and themed dinners. Through these events, the Recreation Club brings staff members of the Baiduri Bank Group closer together, reinforces the spirit of team work and provides opportunities for staff members to enjoy various fun activities together with fellow colleagues. |
