On Saturday, 10 June 2006, the first group comprising of Baiduri Bank senior management, managers and officers attended the Basic Fire Prevention training, jointly organised with Fire Services Department at the New Fire Training Centre, Perpindahan Lambak Kanan.
Members of the Bank senior management group were welcomed by Supt. Janaidi bin Hj Gunong, Commandant of Training Centre, Lambak Kanan as well as other senior officials from the Fire Services Department. Participants from the Bank’s senior management were Mr Pierre Imhof, General Manager of Baiduri Bank, Mr Ti Eng Hui, Deputy General Manager of Retail Banking and Branch Network, Mr Yong Chee Chang, Deputy General Manager of Baiduri Finance, Ms Veronica Chong, Manager of Personnel and Finance and Pg Azaleen Pg Dato Hj Mustapha, Manager of Treasury.
The Basic Fire Prevention training provides insight on the importance of preventing and dealing with fire emergencies. Participants were also involved in hands-on training on the use and maintenance of fire extinguishers. The training was conducted by PSO. Fire Services Department have conducted two types of Fire Prevention training for Baiduri Bank. The comprehensive training involves practical fire fighting techniques as Fire Marshal for the branch managers and nominated officers of the Bank whilst the basic training will involve all staff of Baiduri Bank.
