| BAIDURI EXPO TO BE HELD THIS WEEKEND AT INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE |

Following the success of the first Baiduri Expo held in August last year, the Baiduri Bank Group is organizing yet another Expo to be held at the International Convention Centre, Berakas from 26th to 29th June 2008. This year’s expo promises to be bigger and better than last year and carries the theme “Saving for a Brighter Future”.
This was announced by Mr Pierre Imhof, General Manager of Baiduri Bank in a press conference this afternoon.
During the Expo, Baiduri Bank Group will be showcasing their products and services with an emphasis on savings and investment, in line with the Government’s aspiration to inculcate a savings culture among the locals. Visitors can avail of free financial health checks and consultation.
The Expo calendar also includes seminars on financial planning and investment during the duration of the event. There shall also be a talk on “Think outside the Box” which is designed for those running small and medium enterprises. For the health conscious, two talks entitled “A new Era in Diagnosis – The Aquillion One, The First in Asia” and “Advancement in Cancer Treatment” will be delivered by specialists from Parkway Health Group, Singapore. All talks are available to the public free of charge and on a first-come-first-served basis.
“Besides booths put up by Baiduri Bank, there shall also be other exhibitors from various business sectors such as travel, communications, media, health care providers, electronic and electronic wares. We are honoured that the Energy Department of the Prime Minister’s Office will be participating with their e-Saving initiatives as well as Radio Television Brunei showcasing their digital broadcasting capabilities”, said Mr Imhof.
Visitors can join in the many fun-filled games and activities and walk away with fantastic prizes. Among these are a children’s colouring contest, face painting, balloon twisting, Plinko, Mexican Hat Toss, Wheel of Forture and many more. “We know that schools are having their 2nd Term holidays, and we have included these activities” added Mr Imhof.
This year, the organizer has introduced a singing contest called “Bintang Baiduri”, which is open to anyone irrespective of age. To add to the glamour of the event, local teenage singing sensation, Maria shall be making a special appearance on Sunday at 7.00 p.m.
