 Bandar Seri Begawan, 25th September 2008. In keeping with the spirit of Ramadhan, a group of senior management personnel from Baiduri Bank, led by its General Manager, Mr Pierre Imhof, took some time off their busy schedule today to pay a visit to patients at RIPAS Hospital.
Welcoming the group at RIPAS Hospital was YDM Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hazair bin Haji Abdullah, Acting Minister of Health, who was accompanied by RIPAS Hospital CEO, Hajah Siti Mariam bte Hj Jaafar and other senior hospital officials.
Patients at the Cardiology and Children’s Wards at the hospital were full of joy when the Acting Minister of Health together with the bank executives dropped by their wards to spend time with them and presented them with Hari Raya gifts ahead of the festive season. More than 80 patients received food hampers donated by Baiduri Bank.
“In Baiduri Bank, we believe in giving back to society and in making a difference in the lives of people. This visit is one of the many activities in our CSR calendar this year”, said Mr Pierre Imhof, adding, “It is rewarding to see the smiles on the faces of these people, who unfortunately, have to be away from their loved ones during this special occasion. The least we could do was to bring a little joy to them”.
The Cardiac Care Unit at RIPAS Hospital has for many years been receiving financial assistance from Baiduri Bank to help upgrade the Center’s facilities. These included refurbishment of the Centre and the setting up of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre.
