In his welcome speech, Mr Pierre Imhof, General Manager of Baiduri Bank stated that these two centers are part of an ongoing large-scale project being undertaken by the Baiduri Bank Group to upgrade facilities and premises.
Speaking on the new Business Services Centre, Mr Imhof said that the Centre was formed at the end of 2008 with the merger of three distinct departments into one. It is the main springboard on which more centralized operations will be implemented to cover the operational responsibilities of all departments of the Bank and it’s wholly owned subsidiary, Baiduri Finance.
The Baiduri Bank Group also leveraged on technology and carried out a number of improvements to the services and operations of the IT Department, which included renovations to premises and consolidation of the Data Centre and Information System teams and placing them under one roof. This involved upgrading the Data Centre to Tier 4 with state-of-the-art facilities for greater redundancy so as to bring it in line with international Data Centre standards.
Touching on the Bank’s future direction, Mr Imhof added that the Bank’s Operations Division will continue to employ new techniques to enhance the business processes to be more customer and process focused. "With these exercises in place, we hope to streamline the workflow for better efficiency and to improve turnaround time. We are doing all these with one ultimate aim: to reach a higher level of customer satisfaction."
Following the launch, guests were taken on a tour of the new premises. The Business Services Centre is located on the ground floor, while the IT Centre is located on the second floor of the Centre.
Guests at the breakfast event included senior government officials, customers, and business associates. Also in attendance were Mr Andrew Young, Deputy General Manager Operations, and Mr Ti Eng Hui, Deputy General Manager Retail Banking and Branch Network of Baiduri Bank and other senior executives of the Bank.
