The certificates were presented by the Guest of Honour, His Excellency, Mr Louis Le Vert, French Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam. Also present at the ceremony were Mr Raymond Bariou, Senior Deputy General Manager and Ms Veronica Chong, Senior Manager of Human Resources and Finance of Baiduri Bank.
In his welcoming remarks, Mr Pierre Imhof, General Manager of Baiduri Bank said “Baiduri Bank is a local bank in which the minority partner BNP Paribas brings a French flavor. The objective of the language course is to provide staff with the means to understand the French social and cultural context. Though learning the French language is not as easy as it seems, we encourage staff members to participate and remain motivated to finish the whole course. Congratulations to those who showed determination and passed Level 2. We would also like to thank His Excellency, Mr Louis Le Vert for his presence and presenting the certificates.”
A certificate of appreciation for Baiduri Bank was presented by Ms Anais Maro, Director of Alliance Francaise Brunei Darussalam to Mr Pierre Imhof. This was to thank Baiduri Bank for being a long term partner and the bank’s contribution to setting up the courses.
Those who progress and complete Level 3 have an option to do an international exam which upon successful completion will earn them an internationally recognized certificate of diploma. |
