Kuala Belait, 9th July 2010. Baiduri Bank last week held a get together with their key corporate customers in Kuala Belait in a show of appreciation for the support received through the years. The event was held at the Plaza Sutera Biru and more than 60 guests attended.
During the event, Baiduri Bank’s General Manager, Mr Pierre Imhof, thanked customers for their continued support. He also paid tribute to Ms Ramlah Don, who retired from the Bank end June as Belait District Manager, a position she held since 1997.
From a humble beginning in 1997 with just 3 staff members in a small office in a shophouse along Jalan Pretty, Ramlah has been largely responsible for setting up the Kuala Belait branch and spearheading business growth at branch level. Through dedicated staff and business development strategies, the branch grew from strength to strength to become one of the largest branches within Baiduri Bank. During her office as District Manager, she helped to set up the Seria Branch in 2000 which was later relocated to new premises in 2009 to cater for the increasing number of customers. Today, Baiduri Bank boasts of a total staff force of 25 in the Belait District.
Mr Ti Eng Hui, Deputy General Manager, Retail Banking and Branch Network also spoke at the gathering. He announced the introduction of a new structure for the Bank’s branch network covering branches in the Belait and Tutong Districts. Under the new structure, KB, Seria and Tutong branches will come under one region headed by Ms Helen Hwong as the Regional Manager, Tutong and Belait Districts. Ms Ngo Yik Pei and Ms Kheng Kim Hong will head Kuala Belait and Seria branches respectively as branch managers, while Ms Diana Chong heads Corporate Banking, Kuala Belait, a unit dedicated to business banking needs.
Mr Ti also shared Baiduri Bank’s plan to move their KB branch to new premises adding, “With increased business activities in the oil and gas industry as well as the Sg Liang Industrial Park, there has been a major increase in the demand for our products and services. It is time to move to bigger premises to house our growing number of staff and to serve customers in a more comfortable environment”.
Also in attendance were senior executives and staff members from the Kuala Belait and Seria branches. |
