| BAIDURI BANK SIGNS CARD PAYMENT AGREEMENT WITH BELAIT AND SERIA MUNICIPAL DEPARTMENT |

Kuala Belait, 4th March 2010 - To provide added convenience to the public, the Belait and Seria Municipal Department today entered into an agreement with Baiduri Bank to provide card payment facilities for the payment of building assessment taxes.
The signing ceremony took place at the Belait and Seria Municipal Department Building in Kuala Belait and was attended by 100 guests made up of senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government Departments and Baiduri Bank.
Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohd Abdoh bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Salam, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs attended as the guest of honour.
 
Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohd Yunos bin Bolhassan, Chairman of the Municipal Board, Kuala Belait and Seria signed on behalf of the Municipal Board while Mr Ti Eng Hui, Deputy General Manager, Retail Banking and Branch Network of Baiduri Bank, signed on behalf of the Bank.
Awang Arifpin bin Haji Bujang, Acting Secretary of the Belait and Seria Municipal Board and Ms Lee Ai Cheng, Senior Manager, Sales and Service, Baiduri Bank Card Centre signed as witnesses.
Baiduri Bank is currently the only bank in Brunei that provides card payment facilities to merchants that can accept and process payment by three different credit card brands: Visa, MasterCard and American Express, thereby providing the highest flexibility to both merchants and cardholders.
Holders of cards issued by Baiduri Bank earn bonus points when they charge their spending to the card. These are then converted into reward points which they can redeem for purchases at any Baiduri merchants locally. |
