Bandar Seri Begawan, 17th October 2010 – A meet and greet session with singer and songwriter, Maher Zain was held from 1.30pm to 5pm exclusively for Baiduri Bank Group staff in the Foyer area of the Theatre in the Empire Hotel & Country Club.

More than 300 Baiduri staff and their families turned up to meet Maher Zain. He has taken Brunei by storm with his modern dakwah songs which he fuses with elements of R&B, traditional spiritual music, pop, Arabic and Turkish music into new and unconventional arrangements rarely heard in the Islamic music scene.

The previous night, Maher Zain performed for Baiduri Bank Group’s Malam Silaturrahim. He captivated guests with performances of songs from his debut album ‘Thank You Allah’. Local artists Fakhrul Razi, Fairuzneezan and Maria also entertained guests with their performances.

In addition to the exclusive meet and greet, fans also received complimentary CDs of Maher Zain’s debut album, “Thank You Allah” which was the number one highest selling album on Amazon’s World Music charts.
