Seria, 28th October 2010 - In the continuous effort to develop long-term sustainability of local small and medium enterprises in the oil and gas industry, Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP), with the support of Baiduri Bank, conducted a workshop for the second time at the Brunei Asia Pacific Shell Learning Hub (HLD) in Seria yesterday.
It was a one-day programme on Financial Management focusing on managing financial resources effectively and maintaining good relationship with stakeholders, organized as part of BSP’s Local Business Development Coaching Scheme initiative (CSi).
Facilitated by a local specialist trainer from Livewire and the Project Leader of CSi, Steven Song, and Baiduri Bank’s Rosmawati Hj Johari,Account Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking, it was part of the bank’s contribution towards supporting the BSP Coaching Scheme initiative (CSi). 20 participants from various companies attended the programme.
The CSi is part of BSP’s commitment in developing local businesses and it acts as a platform for sharing and obtaining best practices to help develop the capability, competence and competitiveness of small local businesses. It is the first of its kind programme in Brunei where individual participating company go through structured monthly coaching programme involving several processes.
Besides Baiduri Bank, this scheme is also supported by SKS Wood Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Kejuruteraan Sistematik Sdn Bhd, Petrokon Utama Sdn Bhd and Mashhor Group of Companies as part of their individual organization’s commitment and contribution towards local business development and ultimately, the economic aspirations of Brunei Darussalam. |
