Bandar Seri Begawan, 3rd September 2010 – In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, Baiduri Bank Group presented 41 orphans from Meragang Sixth Form Center (PTEM) with Hari Raya hampers at a Berbuka Puasa get-together yesterday evening. The event was held at the D’Anggerek Hotel, Berakas. 

The hampers were presented by Hajah Maripaz Abdullah, Business Development Manager, Retail Banking Division of Baiduri Bank.

Yang Mulia Dayang Chong Li Chen, the Principal of Meragang Sixth Form Center was present along with teachers, members of the PTEM Parent-Teacher Association, students and Baiduri Bank Group staff members.

The event started with the recital of Surah Al Fatihah, followed with short speeches from the President of the PTEM Student Council, President of PTEM Peer Counselors, a representative from the orphans and a mass recital of Surah Yassin and tahlil. 

This contribution is part of Baiduri Bank Group’s corporate social responsibility initiative and its ongoing commitment to aid community development. Among others, the Group regularly provides financial support for child development programmes in the country, such as Pusat Ehsan, Child Development Centre (CDC), Learning Ladders Society and SMARTER in various events over the years.
