Bandar Seri Begawan, 06 March 2011. In celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year for 2011, Baiduri Bank Group today hosted a sumptuous dinner for its customers and business partners based in Seria and Kuala Belait. The event was held at the Chung Hwa Middle School Auditorium in Kuala Belait and more than 500 guests attended.
The evening began with a lion dance performed by students of the school followed by the welcome address by the General Manager of Baiduri Bank.
In his speech, Mr Pierre Imhof thanked guests for their support and confidence in Baiduri Bank and highlighted the major progresses and achievement of Baiduri Bank Group during the past year.

Sharing the Group’s plans for 2011, he revealed that Baiduri Bank have plans to relocate its Kuala Belait Branch to a new and bigger location, adding that, “We will continue to work hard to deliver excellent products and services to cater to the changing needs of our customers”.
Four schools from the Belait District received donations from Baiduri Bank to provide financial assistance to underprivileged students in their schools. The donations were presented by Mr Imhof and were received by: Mr Tan Yong Kui, Board Member, Chung Hua Middle School, KB; Mdm Cheong Poh Lian, Principal of Chung Ching Middle School, Seria; Mr Mohan Varghese, Principal of St Margaret’s School, Seria and Miss Chea Wann Ching, Principal of St Angela’s School, Seria.
Besides the lion dance, guests were entertained with performances by invited artistes from Malaysia. The performers captivated the audience with an array of exciting performances which included songs by singing sensation Candy Cheah, impersonation of famous personalities by Master Impressionist Dato Leonard Tan and Reizo and comedy sketches by Helmi Gimmick.
Also in attendance at today’s dinner was Mr Raymond Bariou, Senior Deputy General Manager of Baiduri Bank and senior executives of the Group. A similar event was held in Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday for customers in the Brunei-Muara and Tutong Districts. |
