Bandar Seri Begawan, 11th January 2012 – Baiduri Bank hosted their first investment seminar of the year today exclusively for about 100 invited corporate clients, private investors and customers from the private sector, the oil and gas industry as well as some senior government officers from the public sector. The seminar was held at The Empire Hotel & Country Club today to kick off the new year.
The guest speaker for the seminar was Mr Alex Ng the Chief Investment Officer Asia-Pacific, from BNP Paribas Investment Partners, Hong Kong who delivered a 40 minute presentation highlighting the main topics investors should be thinking about during 2012 in Asia and beyond. As well as identifying the main investment themes for 2012, the seminar then ended with a question and answer session.
Present at the event were Mr Pierre Imhof, CEO of Baiduri Bank, Mr Ti Eng Hui, Deputy General Manager, Retail Banking and Branch Network of Baiduri Bank, Mr Andrew Young, Deputy General Manager, Operations Management Division, members of the management committee as well as senior managers and officers from the Bank.
In his welcome remarks, Mr Imhof commented on the increasing demand from Baiduri customers, for support and advisory services in financial planning, wealth and asset management.
He also said, "Baiduri is actively engaged in fulfilling the need of our increasingly sophisticated customers who are now more informed of the intricacies in wealth management."
Baiduri Bank has organized many investment themed seminars over the years in collaboration with BNP Paribas Investment Partners, the asset management arm of BNP Paribas, who has been present in Brunei for over 5 years now.
Mr Imhof also assured, "It is important to us as your financial partner, especially in light of the volatile economic environment observed in previous years to be able to tailor the big bulk of information available out there to suit each customer’s need."
