In its ongoing initiative to combat rampant credit card fraud in the region and globally, Baiduri Bank today holds a fraud reduction workshop in collaboration with MasterCard International at The Empire Hotel & Country Club.

The workshop, divided into two half-day sessions, was attended by 32 representatives from Royal Brunei Police Force and 45 representatives from Baiduri Bank merchants respectively.

Led by Mr KC Cheng, Vice President, Security & Risk Management - South East Asia, MasterCard International (Asia/Pacific), the workshop aims to share MasterCard best practices and techniques on detecting and investigating fraud in the payment card industry. It also serves to educate card merchants on issues related to fraud prevention and to create greater awareness of the significance of law enforcement/industry partnership in combating payment card fraud.

This is the second fraud prevention workshop organised by Baiduri Bank for its merchants. The first workshop of this nature was held in August 2002.
