Baiduri Bank today announced the official opening of The Mall branch – a relocation of its Centrepoint branch to the largest shopping arcade in the country.

Conveniently located at Unit G-30, Ground Floor, The Mall branch is the first and only in-Mall branch in Brunei to operate seven days a week, from 9:00am to 10:00pm. It is based on an innovative banking concept that caters for the busy lifestyle of modern Bruneians, and complements the popular in-store branch at Supa Save Gadong, which also offers banking facilities to customers at extended hours.

The opening ceremony held at The Mall this morning was officiated by Yang Mulia Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Hamid bin Pengiran Haji Mohd. Yassin, Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office.

More than 300 customers, merchants, business associates and government officials attended the official ceremony. Also present at the ceremony were Mr Pierre Imhof, General Manager of Baiduri Bank, Mr Philippe Petitier, Senior Deputy General Manager, and other senior managers of the bank. With its bright, contemporary décor, The Mall branch features a modern branch design that reflects the dynamism, progressiveness and innovative spirit of Baiduri Bank. The new branch provides a choice of self-service banking facilities and teller counters for handling various transactions. In addition, dedicated Customer Service Assistants are available to handle general enquiries and provide information on products and services offered, including deposits and remittances, loan products, credit, debit and prepaid cards. “This is the latest of our ongoing initiatives to make banking products and services easily accessible to our valued customers – by being in the hub of activities and vibrant retail business,” said Mr Pierre Imhof.

“The new branch is also designed to promote greater value-add and a total customer experience by providing a more conducive banking environment. This is part of our overall strategy to reinforce service commitment to our customers,” said Mr Imhof. “We will continue to build the momentum to deepen our relationship with our customers while expanding our customer base.”

The official ceremony was concluded with a tour of premise and facilities led by Pengiran Hj Masri bin Pengiran Hj Othman, manager of The Mall branch.
