More than 1,300 guests are expected to attend the gala event, which is the Bank’s way of expressing its appreciation towards its valued customers and business associates.

This year, the Bank has engaged a few highly sought-after performers from Singapore to entertain guests during the Chinese New Year Dinners. Short profiles of the performers are as follows:

Hossan is one of Singapore’s most popular and successful television and theatre actors, working constantly and earning an impressive array of awards and reviews, including Best Ensemble Acting in the 2000 Life! DBS Theatre Awards and a nomination for Best Supporting Actor for the 2003 Life! DBS Theatre Awards. Hossan is well known for his stand-up comedy routines, affectionately called The Singapore Boy. Hossan has starred in Under One Roof, as well as films such as One Leg Kicking and I Not Stupid.

For her work on the small screen, she has become a household name – Under One Roof, All Change, Art Factory and as the irrepressible Aunty Violet in Daddy’s Girls for which she was awarded the Asian Television Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. On top of all that, Selena is also a proud member of the Association of Singapore Actors.

Selena Tan and Hossan Leong, well-known in Singapore for their individual stand-up comedy routines, take on great partnerships – Ms Piggy and Kermit the frog, Ah Pui and Ah San, even Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles in their stand-up comedy show It takes TWO! presented by Dream Academy. Be prepared for a partnership so sharp, so smart and so snide that they will make the audience laugh till they cry.
