BAIDURI BANK GROUP HOSTS ANNUAL DINNER FOR STAFF

Baiduri Bank Group today hosted an Annual Dinner for its staff members at The Empire Theatre.

Themed “Sixties / ‘Grease’ style”, the Dinner programme includes entertainment, games and lucky draw hosted by Malaysian celebrity emcee Awaluddin. Awards were also presented to branches with the top sales performance as well as individual staff members who deserve special recognition, including long-service staff members.

In his welcoming speech, Mr Pierre Imhof, General Manager of Baiduri Bank, mentioned some of Baiduri Bank Group’s major achievements in 2005, including the official launching of franchising agreement with American Express, partnership with Western Union to provide money transfer service through the Bank’s branch network, and the establishment of a full-fledged in-house security control centre with state-of-the-art security technology.

In addition, the Bank has also expanded its range of financial products and services to include wealth management products by leveraging on strategic alliances with international key players such as Société Générale Asset Management (SGAM) and DBS Singapore. This has enabled the Bank to serve the financial needs of a more diverse clientele and continually provide world-class, innovative products and services to its customers.

In line with its business expansion, Baiduri Bank Group has also increased its staff strength significantly over the years. Currently, the Group has close to 350 employees across various business functions. There is also a greater emphasis on staff training and development, to ensure they are equipped with the competency and skill sets to deliver high standards of service. In particular, plans are in the pipeline to prepare the Bank’s frontliners to pursue qualifications for Certified Financial Planners. Baiduri Bank Group has also established a new training centre located at its Head Office in Kiarong, to provide facilities and resources to further enhance the quality of its human resources.

As part of its ongoing effort to improve staff benefits, Baiduri Bank Group introduced a Retirement Benefits Plan for its employees last year. One of the key objectives of this Plan is to reward employees who have completed a substantial period of service with the Group.
