BAIDURI BANK INTRODUCES INSTANT CARD ISSUANCE & PERSONALISATION

Bandar Seri Begawan, 24 December 2013 – Baiduri Bank is pleased to announce the introduction of a new breakthrough service: instant card issuance and personalization, the first among banks in Brunei.

This new service is available now at Baiduri Bank’s Card Centre located at Unit 8, Block A, Kiarong Complex. In conjunction with the launch of this service, from now till 31st January 2014, the processing fees for card personalization and instant issuance are waived.

Compliant with major card organization's security requirement and designed to provide real-time solutions for card issuers, this technology allows the Bank to immediately issue new cards, replace lost, stolen or damaged cards to meet the urgent needs of customers. Customers will only need to wait up to 15 minutes to have a new or replacement card issued. The whole process from start to finish should take just a few minutes and includes data entry, embossing and card personalization process.

To further cater to customers, Baiduri Card Centre has extended its opening hours to 5:30 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays (closed on Fridays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm) and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm due to expected high demand from customers. This instant card issuance service will be rolled out to selected branches in the near future.

Mr Pierre Imhof, CEO of Baiduri Bank in announcing this, said, "In Baiduri Bank, we understand that our customers expect speed in delivery of service as well as quick responses to their needs. This instant card issuance is the latest in our enhancing customer experience initiatives. We will continue to invest in technology to enhance our services and this year alone, we have rolled out three new services: a mobile banking app in June, a mobile marketing app in August, and now, instant card issuance".
