BAIDURI BANK INTRODUCES NEW MOBILE BANKING APP

Bandar Seri Begawan, 25 June 2013. Baiduri Bank recently launched the new Personal i-Banking mobile app. The app is a part of Baiduri Bank's initiative for improving customer engagement and experience.  Designed for the tech savvy younger generation, this mobile app will complement their lifestyle, thus giving them more time to spend on areas that matter most to them.

"Today, the lines between products and services are diminishing as consumers become more and more dependent on the internet, and that includes online purchases and services", said Mr Imhof, CEO of Baiduri Bank. "Our customers want quick access to their account information and they can now do so instantly while on the go via their smartphones. With this mobile app, they can also perform routine banking transactions by themselves, giving them a high level of independence and control".

Packed with the existing i-Banking features, Baiduri Bank’s mobile app allows existing personal i-Banking customers to access internet banking via their smartphones without any need to use their computers. The app is available for download on App Store and Google Play allowing customers to enjoy this convenience – at no charge. Customers can safely use this app while they're overseas because the app utilises the mobile or token authentication just like the existing i-Banking.

Explaining the features of the app, Mr Ti Eng Hui, Deputy General Manager, Retail Banking and Branch Network of Baiduri Bank said, "This new app will not only save time, but allows customers to manage their finances conveniently on their smartphones. Not only can they view all their accounts, they can also carry out banking transactions like funds transfers, make hire purchase and card payments, utility payments, top ups for electricity and mobile and more - at just a touch away, anywhere, anytime on their smartphones"

Besides carrying out daily banking transactions, the app provides the ease of finding Baiduri branches and ATM locations via Google Maps, latest Baiduri promotions and foreign exchange rates which customers will find very useful. Customers will enjoy free service when they transfer funds from their Baiduri Bank account to another bank locally as well as discounted telegraphic transfer fees to overseas banks.

In the months to come, Baiduri Bank will be rolling out exciting activities via the mobile app and customers are highly recommended to participate – to win lots of enticing prizes.
