Bandar Seri Begawan, 15th May 2014 – Baiduri Bank yesterday hosted a fun-filled 'Fabulous Fifties' themed dinner in appreciation of members of the media.

Mr Pierre Imhof, CEO of Baiduri Bank welcomed guests and expressed his sincere thanks to the media for their continuous support and contributions, adding, "I would like to acknowledge you, the media, as a very import part of society, and as our partner in disseminating information about us to the public via your various channels".

He also shared with the audience the recent achievements of the Baiduri Bank Group, the most recent being the impressive credit rating of BBB+/A-2 assigned to Baiduri Bank by leading international rating agency, Standard & Poor’s. This is an important milestone for Baiduri Bank and represents the first time a bank in Brunei has been rated by a rating agency.

During the evening, guests were kept entertained with games where they contested in fervently. These included a hot dog eating competition, "Make the best looking sundae" where contestants were tested for their decorative skills in making the best looking sundae with the condiments provided, a hula dance contest, "Name That Tune" and a shooting relay game.

Hakim Hayat, a journalist with Borneo Bulletin and Adriane Jaafar of Brunei Times were each adjudged the best dressed in the male and female category. Numerous prizes ranging from spa and shopping vouchers, cameras and other electronic gadgets were given away in the lucky draw. Sheikh Md Idham b Sheikh Abas, a radio presenter with Kristal FM won the grand draw prize of a B$2,000 savings account. Guests who were not lucky enough to win prizes in the lucky draw did not go home empty-handed. They were presented with cinema tickets, dining and shopping vouchers in the instant dip as they left the event.

More than 150 guests from various media and design agencies attended the event. Also in attendance were Mr Ti Eng Hui , Deputy CEO; Pengiran Azaleen Pengiran Dato Mustapha, Head of Treasury and Ms Dorothy Newn, Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing as well as other senior officials of Baiduri Bank.
