Baiduri Bank Group hosts Deepavali 2018 dinner at the Empire Hotel & Country Club

Bandar Seri Begawan, 9 November 2018 – In celebration of Deepavali, the Festival of Lights, the Baiduri Bank Group tonight hosted a dinner for its loyal customers and business partners at the Indera Samudra Grand Hall, The Empire Hotel & Country Club, Jerudong.

In attendance as the Guest of Honour was Her Excellency Mrs Nagma M. Mallick, High-Commisioner of the India to Brunei Darussalam.

The evening began with a welcome address by Mr. Pierre Imhof, CEO of Baiduri Bank.

In his welcoming address, Mr. Pierre Imhof outlined the major progresses and achievements of the Baiduri Bank Group during the year. Among them, he mentioned two major milestones for the bank, the foundation laying of the new headquarters and the ISO9001:2015 certification attained by the Operations Management Division, Diversification and Strategic Development.

Speaking on the ISO certification, “This certification is an internationally-recognised certification for quality management system and symbolises our commitment to the highest level of quality services.”

He also elaborated on the Bank’s commitment to providing an enhanced banking experience for its customers, “We will continue to invest in our business as we believe in the future of Brunei’s financial industry. We have recently relocated our Seria branch to more modern premises and refreshed our customer programmes, Baiduri Prestige and the Baiduri Smart Executive Programme in our efforts to better serve our customers.”

He further elaborated that Baiduri has been maintaining a strong credit rating. “Standard and Poor’s recently reaffirmed our rating to BBB+/A-2 with stable outlook in July.”

Mr. Pierre Imhof ended his welcoming remarks by expressing his appreciation and thanks to the guests for their support and continued confidence over the years.

The Baiduri Bank Group has continued to receive major international banking awards, bearing testament to its strong performance amid challenging times. This year alone, Baiduri had received three major banking awards - the Domestic Retail Bank for Brunei 2018 and the Credit Card Initiative of the year for Brunei from the Asian Banking and Finance magazine as well as the Best Banking Group for Brunei 2018 from World Finance.

Following the welcome remarks, a video was shown highlighting some of the events and activities that the bank had taken part in over the last year.

Around 500 customers and associates from the local Indian community were present at the event. The large gathering of guests included prominent Indian business leaders and professionals working in Brunei as well as loyal customers and partners of Baiduri Bank.
