  • Terms & Conditions

    Retirement Saver and Investment Package (this “Offer”) Terms and Conditions:

    1. Term

    1.1. This Offer begins on 1 August 2023 and ends on 31 October 2023, both dates inclusive (the “Offer Period”).

    2. Eligibility

    2.1 This Offer is open to all new and existing individual customers of Baiduri Bank Sendirian Berhad (“the Bank”), Baiduri Capital Sendirian Berhad (“Baiduri Capital”) and Baiduri Finance Berhad (collectively “Eligible Customers”).

    2.2 This Offer is open to funds derived from payouts and withdrawals made from personal pension funds and retirement fund accounts including but not limited to Tabung Amanah Pekerja, Skim Persaraan Kebangsaan or retirement fund accounts from respective employers from the last 12 months (“Eligible Funds”).

    2.3 Eligible Funds must be evidenced by direct bank transfers such as Automated Clearing House (ACH) or Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) from the pension and retirement fund accounts to the individual customers’ Baiduri account, or by other formal documentary proof.

    2.4 Eligible Funds are only applicable for Fixed Deposit, Unit Trusts and Exchange Traded Funds. For Life Insurance, there is no restriction on the source of funds.

    2.5 Eligible Customers who wish to invest in Unit Trusts and Exchange Traded Funds are required to undergo risk profiling and client suitability assessment before signing up.

    3. The Offers

    3.1 Fixed Deposit

    3.1.1 Eligible Customers will be entitled to choose one of the following interest rates on a Brunei Dollar (BND) Fixed Deposit with the corresponding interest rates and placement limits according to the table below:

    3.1.2 In the event of premature upliftment or withdrawal of the Fixed Deposit, the Bank’s normal tariffs will apply and any interest accrued will be forfeited. Please refer to the Bank’s General Tariffs here.

    3.1.3 Upon maturity of the Fixed Deposit, it is the Bank’s normal practice to auto-renew the Fixed Deposit plus interest at the prevailing interest rates unless instructed otherwise by the Eligible Customer.

    3.1.4 For Fixed Deposits with a 24-month tenor and 36-month tenor, it will be auto-renewed at the prevailing rate of a 12-month tenor upon maturity unless instructed otherwise by the Eligible Customer.

    3.1.5 The interest rate tabled in clause 3.1.1 above is applicable during the Offer Period only and is subject to change by the Bank.

    3.1.6 Eligible Customers may make multiple Fixed Deposit placements during the Offer Period.


    3.2 Life Insurance

    3.2.1 Eligible Customers who sign up for the selected insurance plans offered by the Bank in table (a) will receive rewards as per table (b) from the first premium paid.

    3.2.2 To be eligible for this Offer, the minimum premium payment term for regular premium must be at least ten (10) years.

    3.2.3 A sign up is deemed successful when an Eligible Customer is issued with a policy book by AIA or Great Eastern (“Successful Applicant”).

    3.2.4 Each Successful Applicant is only entitled to one reward during the Offer Period irrespective of the number of successful policy sign-ups.

    3.2.5 The Bank will issue rewards to the Successful Applicants upon receipt of the original policy book from AIA or Great Eastern.

    3.2.6 Successful Applicants may combine the premiums for multiple policies to make up for the minimum annual premium or to qualify for the higher annual premium tier.

    3.2.7 The Bank reserves the right to rescind the rewards, in the event of any cancellation of policy.

    3.2.8 Rewards are not exchangeable, transferable, or refundable for cash or any other kind.

    3.3 Unit Trusts

    3.3.1 Eligible Customers who sign up for any Unit Trust listed below will enjoy full waiver of the sales charge with a minimum placement of BND1,000* and maximum placement of BND100,000 offered by Baiduri Capital.

    3.4 Exchange-Traded Funds (“ETF”)

    3.4.1 The first twenty (20) Eligible Customers can save up to BND100 rebate on brokerage fees for the first two (2) ‘Buy’ trades based on the below listed ETFs traded on Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) via the Baiduri Capital Securities Trading Platform (“Free Buy Trade”).

    3.4.2 A Free Buy Trade is defined as a full reimbursement of brokerage commission fees of up to BND100 for both buy trade excluding dealer-assisted trades. Other prevalent fees by the respective stock exchanges still apply. Please refer to Baiduri Capital’s General Tariff’s here.

    3.4.3 A Baiduri Capital Securities Trading Account is required for the purpose of trading and all transaction activities to be eligible for this Offer (“Accountholder”).

    3.4.4 Eligible Customers will receive their Free Buy Trades via cash reimbursement to their Baiduri Capital Securities Trading Account within one (1) month after the end of the Offer Period.

    3.4.5 Eligible Customers must complete the first two (2) trades within the Offer Period to be entitled to the Free Buy Trade. Accountholders who complete only one (1) transaction will not be eligible for the rebate. Any unutilised Free Buy Trades after the Offer Period will be forfeited.

    4. General

    4.1 This Offer is governed by Baiduri Bank and Baiduri Capital’s Terms and Conditions on the related products and any other documents forming the agreement to transact.

    4.2 Baiduri Bank and Baiduri Capital may, at any time and without prior notice or liability to any party, suspend or terminate the offer under this Offer or vary these Terms and Conditions.

    4.3 Baiduri Bank and Baiduri Capital reserve the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with this Offer. Its determination of all matters relating to this Offer shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.

We would like to inform you that with effect from 31 October 2023, Business i-Banking service will no longer be operational, and this will be replaced with our new Baiduri b.Digital Business service.

If your company has not transitioned to b.Digital Business, please ensure that every existing user provides the following by 8 October 2023 through the Business i-Banking Inbox:
  • User’s full name
  • User’s valid Identification Card (IC) or Passport
  • User’s mobile number
  • User's company assigned email address (General company email is not accepted e.g., [email protected])

Alternatively, you can complete the b.Digital Business Amendment Form and submit the form(s) directly to Baiduri Digital Hub, Ground Level, Baiduri Bank Headquarters.

Every user will receive a notification email at their registered email address, once they have been migrated and activated on the b.Digital Business service.

Companies who have not moved to b.Digital Business after 31 October 2023 can re-apply as a new subscriber to the b.Digital Business service. This will require additional documentations to be submitted as part of the application. Refer “Required Documents” here.

Important notice: Our Business i-Banking service will be deactivated soon. To ensure continued access and a smooth transition to the new Baiduri b.Digital Business, please provide your full name, IC, email address and mobile number via Business i-Banking Inbox. If we do not receive updated details from all authorised users, your company will not be migrated to the new platform and a fresh application will be required.
