    Baiduri Bank’s 30th Anniversary Promotion (“this Promotion”) Terms and Conditions 

    1. Term


    1.1. This Promotion is valid from 1 April 2024 to 30 September 2024, both dates inclusive, or such other date(s) as may be determined by Baiduri Bank Sendirian Berhad (“the Bank”) at its absolute discretion (the “Promotion Period”).

    1.2. By participating in this Promotion, participants are deemed to be bound by these terms and conditions (the “Terms”).

    2. Eligibility

    2.1. This Promotion is open to new and existing customers of the Bank, Baiduri Finance Berhad (“Baiduri Finance”) and/or Baiduri Capital Sdn Bhd (“Baiduri Capital”) who open and/or maintain accounts, including joint accounts, for the following products and services listed in Clause 2.2. (collectively the “Eligible Products”) and whose accounts are in good standing during the Promotion Period (“Eligible Customers”).

    1Total Average Daily Balance refers to the sum of Average Daily Balance for each of the Eligible Accounts held. Average Daily Balance for an Eligible Account is defined as the sum of end of day balances for the month divided by the total number of days within the month.

    2Fresh funds refers to funds that have not derived from any existing account with the Bank, Baiduri Finance and/or Baiduri Capital, and have not been withdrawn and redeposited within the preceding 30 days.

    2.3. Applications for any of the Eligible Products must be submitted and approved within the Promotion Period.

    2.4. Customers whose accounts have been suspended, cancelled, or terminated for whatever reason during the Promotion Period will be disqualified from this Promotion.

    2.5. The Bank shall endeavour to provide updates on the total draw chances you have earned during the Promotion Period via your registered email address. Any information provided on the total draw chances is provided for general purposes only and the Bank does not guarantee the completeness and accuracy of such updates.

    2.6. Employees of the Bank, Baiduri Finance and Baiduri Capital, are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.

    3. Home Financing Loans

    3.1. Eligibility and Criteria

    3.1.1. This Promotion is eligible to customers who meet the following eligibility criteria (“Eligible Applicants”):
    • Apply for a new Home Financing Loan or transfer existing Home Financing Loan with another bank to the Bank during the Promotion Period; and
    • Are Brunei Citizens and Permanent Residents; and
    • Are either of the following:
      • full-time employees of the Brunei Government, Government-Linked Companies (GLC), Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies; or
      • full-time employees (not including self-employed individuals) of any private sector companies and maintain an account with the Bank.

    3.1.2. This Promotion is only applicable to Eligible Applicants who are applying for Home Financing Loans with the following criteria:

    3.2.1.2. The subsidy granted under Offer B/C/D in this Promotion shall be used for the payment of fees including but not limited to:
    • Preparation of legal documentation including Sales and Purchase Agreement
    • Fire insurance for the first year of purchase only
    • Mortgage Reducing Term Assurance (“MRTA”)
    • Valuation reports
    • Stamp duty for Memorandum of Charge

    3.2.1.3. It is optional for Eligible Applicants to assign their salary to the Bank. Eligible Applicants without salary assignment may be subjected to different promotional rates.

    3.2.1.4. The remaining lease/strata tenor of the residential property must be at least fifteen (15) years before loan maturity.

    3.2.2. Home Refinancing Loan

    3.2.2.1. Eligible Applicants who successfully apply for Home Refinancing Loan will be entitled to the following:

    4. Personal Financing Loans

    4.1. Eligibility and Criteria
    4.1.1. This Promotion is offered to customers who meet the following eligibility criteria (“Eligible Applicants”):
    • Apply for a new application or top up an existing application or transfer existing Personal Financing Loan(s) with another bank to the Bank during the Promotion Period; and
    • Are Brunei citizens and permanent residents; and
    • Are either of the following:
      • full-time employees of the Brunei Government, Government-Linked Companies (GLC), Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies; or
      • full-time employees (not including self-employed individuals) of any private sector companies and maintain an account with the Bank.

    4.1.2. This Promotion is only applicable to Eligible Applicants who are applying for Personal Financing Loans with the following criteria:

    4.1.3. The approval of the Personal Financing Loan application is subject to full satisfaction of the Bank’s criteria including the Bank’s credit assessment and documentation requirements.

    4.2. Promotion Mechanics

    4.2.1. Eligible Applicants who successfully applied for any Personal Financing Loans listed under Clause 2.2.2. will be entitled to the following:

    4.2.2. Eligible Applicants applying for one (1) of the Personal Financing Products listed in Clause 2.2.2. (“Eligible Personal Financing Products”) only will be entitled to a Promotional EIR of 6.0% per annum on the approved loan amount (“Non-Bundle Offer”).

    4.2.3. Eligible Applicants applying for two (2) or more of the Eligible Personal Financing Products as a bundle will be entitled to a Promotional EIR of 5.75% per annum on the approved loan amount (“Bundle Offer”).

    4.2.4. Eligible Applicants applying for:

    • any of the Eligible Personal Financing Products bundled with any of the Home Financing Products listed in Clause 2.2.1. (“Eligible Home Financing Products”); or
    • any of the Eligible Personal Financing Products bundled with Personal Overdraft, Consumer Goods Financing or Property Investment Loan;

    will be entitled to the Promotional EIR for the Eligible Personal Financing Products at 5.75% per annum on the approved loan amount. Where the bundle includes an Eligible Home Financing Product, the Promotional EIR for the Eligible Home Financing Product as stated in Clause 3 will apply. For bundles that include Personal Overdraft, Consumer Goods Financing or Property Investment Loan, the prevailing rates for these products will apply.

    4.2.5. Salary assignment is mandatory to all Eligible Personal Financing Products with the exception of Personal Loan in a single application where the salary assignment is optional.

    5. Credit Card

    5.1. Eligibility and Criteria

    5.1.1. This Promotion is open to Eligible Customers who are a new or existing principal Baiduri Credit Cardholder who has applied for a new Baiduri Credit Card or transfer existing balance from another bank to the Bank during the Promotion Period.

    5.1.2. Promotion Mechanics
    5.1.2.1. Eligible Applicants who have applied for new or upgrade of principal credit card will be entitled to the following annual fee waivers:

    5.1.2.4. Upon successful sign-up and with at least one (1) successful transaction within the Promotion Period, bonus points will be credited to the successful applicant’s instant rewards card.

    5.1.2.5. Eligible Applicants must be a member of the Royal Skies Programme to earn Royal Skies miles. Royal Skies miles earned will be credited into the Eligible Applicant’s Royal Skies membership account. Once Royal Skies miles are credited to the Eligible Applicant’s Royal Skies membership account, they are governed by the terms and conditions of the Royal Skies Program. Redemption and use of the Royal Skies miles through the Royal Skies Program are governed by the terms and conditions of the Royal Skies Program. The latest Royal Skies Program terms and conditions are available on www.flyRB.com.

    5.1.2.6. Eligible Applicants must have an Instant Rewards Card to earn bonus points. Bonus points earned will be credited into the Eligible Applicant’s Instant Rewards Card account within three (3) weeks after the card application is approved and will be reflected in the Eligible Applicant’s monthly Instant Rewards Card statement. Redemption and use of bonus points through the Instant Rewards Programme are governed by the terms and conditions of the Instant Rewards Programme.     6. Grand Draw

    6.1. There will be three (3) Grand Draws which will be conducted using an electronic system in June 2024 (“1st Draw Month”), August 2024 (“2nd Draw Month”) and October 2024 (“3rd Draw Month”) or such other month as the Bank may determine at its own discretion without prior notice.

    6.3. For each Grand Draw, six (6) Winners will be chosen from each of the following Qualifying Periods stated below:

    6.4. Winners of each Grand Draw will not be eligible for the subsequent grand draws relating to this Promotion.

    6.5. The Bank will contact the Winners by phone call via their registered phone number(s) in the Bank’s record, one (1) week before each Grand Draw prize presentation. The date and location of the prize presentation will also be informed via the phone call.

    6.6. The Bank reserves the right to draw reserve winners to replace any winner who is or may be subsequently found to be disqualified from the Draws.

    6.7. Winners of the BND10,000 worth of investments prize may choose to deposit their winning amount to the Bank’s Prime Saver Savings Account or placed in Baiduri Capital’s Unit Trust or Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) only.

    6.8. All holiday prizes are inclusive of two (2) return economy class tickets departing from Brunei International Airport to your winning destination, hotel accommodation based on twin-sharing and tours. Any other expenses, like visa application charges (if any), tipping and/or personal expenses are not included. Full redemption terms and conditions will be shared at prize collection.

    6.9. The Bank reserves the right to substitute or replace the prize with any alternate prize of similar value without prior notice.

    6.10. Prizes or alternative prize are not transferable or exchangeable for cash, credit or any other prize in full or in part and is not refundable or replaceable.

    6.11. The Bank makes no representation or warranty whatsoever in respect of the prizes or alternate prize, whether as to the quality or merchantability or fitness for purpose or performance or otherwise whatsoever. Any disputes in respect to the quality, condition, or performance of the prize or alternative prize is to be resolved directly with the relevant supplier(s).

    6.12. The Bank will not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage suffered as a result of the redemption or usage of the goods and services or in connection with the Draws and/or redemption or use of the prizes.

    6.13. The Bank shall be entitled to use the names, identification numbers and pictures/photographs of the Winners for publicity materials; and may engage any Winners for its publicity purposes without any compensation whatsoever and in such manner as the Bank determines.

    6.14. Prize Collection

    6.14.1. Prizes must be collected personally by the Winner and present their original identity card for verification or by an authorised representative. The Winner shall endeavour to inform the Bank that an authorised representative will be collecting on their behalf at least one (1) business day before the prize presentation.

    6.14.2. If collection is to be made by the authorised representative, the authorised representative must present the original duly signed authorisation letter from the Winner, a signed and dated copy of the Winner’s identity card and the authorised representative’s original identity card at point of collection.

    6.14.3. Redemption of prizes will be subject to additional terms and conditions as stipulated in the redemption letters where the redemption letters will be provided during the prize collection.

    7. General

    7.1. This Promotion is governed and subject to the Bank’s terms and conditions on the related products and any other documents forming the banking agreement.

    7.2. The Bank may, at any time and without prior notice or liability to any party, suspend or terminate this Promotion or vary any of the Terms of this Promotion.

    7.3. The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with this Promotion. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to this Promotion shall be final and conclusive and no correspondences will be entertained.

    7.4. By participating in this Promotion, Eligible Customers consent to the collection, use and disclosure of the Eligible Customer’s personal data by/to the organisers, promoters or conductors of this Promotion and such other third party for the purpose of this Promotion and the Eligible Customers confirms that they have read and agree to be bound by the terms of the Group Privacy Policy, as may be amended, supplemented and/or substituted by the Bank from time to time, a copy of which can be found on www.baiduri.com.

    7.5. In the event of any inconsistency between the Terms and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with this Promotion, the Terms shall prevail.

    7.6. The Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brunei Darussalam.

We would like to inform you that with effect from 31 October 2023, Business i-Banking service will no longer be operational, and this will be replaced with our new Baiduri b.Digital Business service.

If your company has not transitioned to b.Digital Business, please ensure that every existing user provides the following by 8 October 2023 through the Business i-Banking Inbox:
  • User’s full name
  • User’s valid Identification Card (IC) or Passport
  • User’s mobile number
  • User's company assigned email address (General company email is not accepted e.g., [email protected])

Alternatively, you can complete the b.Digital Business Amendment Form and submit the form(s) directly to Baiduri Digital Hub, Ground Level, Baiduri Bank Headquarters.

Every user will receive a notification email at their registered email address, once they have been migrated and activated on the b.Digital Business service.

Companies who have not moved to b.Digital Business after 31 October 2023 can re-apply as a new subscriber to the b.Digital Business service. This will require additional documentations to be submitted as part of the application. Refer “Required Documents” here.

Important notice: Our Business i-Banking service will be deactivated soon. To ensure continued access and a smooth transition to the new Baiduri b.Digital Business, please provide your full name, IC, email address and mobile number via Business i-Banking Inbox. If we do not receive updated details from all authorised users, your company will not be migrated to the new platform and a fresh application will be required.
