A TASTE OF KINDNESS: BAIDURI BANK'S EMPLOYEE WELLNESS INITIATIVE LEADS 'BUAT AND BAGI' EVENT
26 March 2024

Baiduri Bank’s Employee Wellness Initiative (EWI), in collaboration with The Culinary School by Laksamana College of Business (LCB) and the Ministry of Health (MOH), recently organised a special event named 'Buat and Bagi', marking a significant milestone in their ongoing commitment to community service.

The collaborative effort resulted in the preparation of 400 nutritious meals for charity. Building on the success of previous initiatives, this event reflects the EWI's steadfast dedication to fostering inclusivity and empathy within the community, in line with the Bank’s core values.

Ti Eng Hui, CEO of Baiduri Bank, commented on the initiative, "The 'Buat and Bagi' event is a testament to the power of community and compassion. It's not just about the meals; it's about coming together to make a difference in the lives of those around us. This initiative embodies our commitment to not only serving our customers but also contributing positively to the broader community."

Leading the initiative, Ti Eng Hui, Pg Azaleen, Deputy CEO of Group Treasury and Institutional Banking, and Manuel Bulens, Deputy CEO of Consumer Banking, directed a dedicated team of fifty Baiduri Bank employees. Together, they packed and delivered meals to patients and frontline employees of MOH’s Psychiatry Department and RIPAS Hospital, demonstrating unwavering support and appreciation for the community. Dr Hajah Rafidah binti Hj Gharif, Acting Director of Health Services at MOH, was also present to receive the donation.

Additionally, the meals were delivered to mosques including Salambigar Mosque, Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Lambak Kanan Mosque, and Kampung Menunggol Mosque to supplement iftar meals.

Looking ahead, the Bank’s Employee Wellness Initiative remains steadfast in its commitment to community service, eagerly anticipating future collaborations aimed at sustaining impactful change and enhancing the well-being of individuals.
