BAIDURI BANK AND DARUSSALAM ENTERPRISE HOST DYNAMIC WORKSHOP ON BUILDING HIGH-PERFORMANCE TEAMS FOR MSMES
06 June 2024

Baiduri Bank, in collaboration with the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) through Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), hosted the 13th edition of the Baiduri MSME Empowerment Series on 5 June 2024 at Baiduri Enterprise Hub. The event featured a workshop titled 'Businesses Don’t Fail, Leaders Do: Leverage Design thinking to find your dream team,' facilitated by industry experts Daryl Lim and Rosemary Phan from Design Thinkers Academy Asia.

About 38 Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) attended the workshop aimed to empower businesses with innovative strategies for growth and enhanced customer satisfaction. Participants engaged in a comprehensive exploration of human-centred design principles, leveraging real customer case studies and practical exercises such as stakeholder mapping and journey mapping. Through hands-on learning experiences, attendees learned to cultivate their 'Dream Team' by focusing on value co-creation and strategic service scenario planning. The workshop was followed by a one-to-one clinic consultation, equipping participants with the necessary tools to redefine their value chain and establish a future-ready enterprise with the optimal team composition.

"The success of any business hinges greatly on the strength of its team, particularly in navigating the inevitable ups and downs of entrepreneurship," said Mohammad Isa Liew, Head of Business Banking at Baiduri Bank. "By fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, entrepreneurs can position themselves for sustainable growth and resilience in today's dynamic business landscape."

The Baiduri MSME Empowerment Series continues to serve as a platform for fostering entrepreneurship and facilitating the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Brunei under Baiduri Bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts within the economic pillar. By partnering with BEDB and leveraging the expertise of industry leaders, Baiduri Bank remains committed to supporting the development of a vibrant and resilient business ecosystem in the region.
