BAIDURI BANK AND DARUSSALAM ENTERPRISE HOST SESSION ON ACCOUNT RECEIVABLES FINANCING TO BOOST CASH FLOW
10 October 2024

Baiduri Bank, in collaboration with Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), under the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), recently held a session aimed at helping businesses improve their cash flow management. The event, which took place at the Baiduri Enterprise Hub, highlighted Baiduri’s SME Account Receivables Financing product—a financial solution specifically designed to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) unlock working capital tied up in eligible unpaid invoices.

The session was led by Pengiran Haji Aziz bin Pengiran Haji Aji, Senior Officer from Business Banking, who explained how to use Baiduri SME Account Receivables Financing to improve cash flow for SMEs. He demonstrated how the product enables businesses to convert outstanding invoices into immediate cash, helping them bridge payment gaps, manage operational expenses, and reinvest in growth initiatives. Pengiran Haji Aziz also outlined the steps for applying for the financing, the eligibility criteria, and best practices for using the product effectively to maintain healthy cash flow.

Attendees were provided with real-life examples of SMEs that have successfully utilised Baiduri’s SME Account Receivables Financing to mitigate the impact of delayed payments from clients, ensuring continued smooth operations. By leveraging this product, businesses can also offer more flexible payment terms to their customers, enhancing competitiveness while maintaining financial stability.

Mohammad Isa Liew Mohd Amin Liew, Head of Business Banking at Baiduri Bank, emphasised the Bank’s dedication to supporting SMEs through tailored financial solutions. He stated, “At Baiduri Bank, we are committed to empowering local SMEs with the financial tools they need to thrive. Our SME Account Receivables Financing product is designed to address one of the most common challenges faced by businesses—cash flow management. By unlocking the value of eligible unpaid invoices, we aim to help businesses maintain stability and focus on growth.”

The event was well-received, with around 30 attendees gaining practical insights on how Baiduri SME Account Receivables Financing can be used strategically to manage cash flow and support business growth. Business owners also had the opportunity to engage in one-on-one consultations with Baiduri Bank’s business banking team, exploring how the financing solution could be tailored to meet their specific needs.

This event highlights Baiduri Bank's ongoing efforts to support the growth of local SMEs by providing financial products that address key business needs. By partnering with institutions like DARe, Baiduri Bank contributes to the development of Brunei's entrepreneurial ecosystem, facilitating the expansion of small businesses and fostering a more dynamic local economy.
