BAIDURI BANK BIDS FAREWELL TO ROYAL BRUNEI SECONDED STAFFS
15 December 2022

After a six month secondment at Baiduri Bank, three Royal Brunei (RB) employees were celebrated in a closing ceremony at the Baiduri Community Space, Baiduri Bank Headquarters. Manuel Bulens, Deputy CEO, Compliance, Corporate Governance and Legal Support of Baiduri Bank was present at the closing ceremony.

During their secondment, they were heavily involved in customer-service related roles where they were able to share valuable knowledge and experience to frontliners. The RB secondees assisted in several training workshops which focused on grooming and etiquette, as well as conducting a Dress Well campaign as part of Baiduri Bank’s service culture transformation.

According to Veronica Chong, Head of Group Human Resources and Administration of Baiduri Bank, “This secondment programme provides an opportunity for both organisations to upskill employees, increase engagement and improve overall communication skills. The RB secondees were very hands-on and receptive to our unique work culture and environment and have made a great impact during their six months here.” She further emphasized that collaborations like these have added tremendous value to Baiduri Bank’s transformation journey in enhancing customer experience.

Shannon Sikun, Head of Group Customer Experience of Baiduri Bank said, “We certainly hope that everyone involved, both from Royal Brunei as well as Baiduri Bank, have truly gained new experiences throughout this journey. The RB staff have been instrumental towards our efforts in inculcating a customer-oriented culture.”

With a strong record in product innovation and service excellence, RB and Baiduri Bank have established a commitment to invest into building and expanding the scope of its people through this secondment programme.

Also present at the closing ceremony were senior executives from Baiduri Bank and Royal Brunei.
