Baiduri Bank marked its participation in the Ministry of Health's ‘BN On The Move’ (BNOTM) Championship 2024 with a prize presentation ceremony at the Baiduri Community Space, Baiduri Bank Headquarters on 11 November 2024.
This year, Baiduri Bank secured second place for the ‘Most Engaged Team’ in the private sector category. With 678 team members actively participating, representing about two-thirds of its workforce, the Bank has reinforced its commitment to cultivating a culture of health and wellness.
In her opening remarks, Veronica Chong, Head of Group Human Resources and Administration Division at Baiduri Bank, stated, “Participating in the ‘BN On The Move’ Championship reflects our commitment to creating a healthier community aligned with Wawasan Brunei 2035. The dedication of our team inspires us all to prioritise our well-being and support each other in our journey toward a healthier nation.”
The event featured a panel discussion with the winners of the BNOTM Championship, where they shared their experiences and strategies for success. Following the panel, Marilyn Yap, Fitness Manager at Jab Gym, and Jonathan Ooi delivered an engaging talk on “How to Get Started,” providing practical tips and insights for participants to embark on their fitness journey.
Throughout the championship, Baiduri Bank’s Employee Wellness Initiatives (EWI) played a pivotal role in supporting employee well-being, encompassing four key dimensions: physical, mental, spiritual, and financial wellness. The initiatives included various engaging activities, such as the Baiduri BNOTM Walkathon and ‘Feel Good Friday’ events. As a result, Baiduri Bank collectively achieved nearly 270 million steps.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards to the winners of the ‘Most Steps Challenge’ across multiple categories, recognising the Top 3 Leading Employees, the Top 3 Male and Female Employees, and the Top 11 overall.
