In a show of support and appreciation towards the brave volunteers under Sukarelawan Belia COVID-19, Baiduri Bank presented a donation of personal protective equipment (PPE) comprising 2,000 face masks, 2,000 disposable gloves, 1,000 face shields and 100 bottles of hand sanitizers.

The items were donated as part of Baiduri Bank’s efforts to help the country curb the spread of COVID-19. The handover ceremony was held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex today. The items were presented by Pg Azaleen Pg Dato Hj Mustapha, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Business Development) of Baiduri Bank. Present to receive the contribution of PPE was Pg Mohd Amirrizal Pg Hj Mahmud, Permanent Secretary (Finance and Estate) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Sukarelawan Belia COVID-19 is a volunteering body set up in 2020 to assist the Ministry of Health’s Emergency Operation Centre, the National Disaster Management Centre as well as the frontliners during COVID-19.

Speaking on the initiative, Pg Azaleen said, “In this challenging time, volunteers are needed now more than ever to help the government provide relief, in the form of manpower, from the difficulties that the pandemic has brought upon our communities. We hope to support these volunteers and their valuable contribution with this donation of PPE.”

Also present at the handover of items were Hj Mohd Rosfazilah Hj Yusly, Special Duties Officer (Grade 1) as Operation Officer Sukarelawan Belia COVID-19, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Muiz DP Hj Adnan, Corporate Communications Executive (Community and Communications), Baiduri Bank.
