BAIDURI BANK DONATES PPE AND TEST KITS TO MINISTRY OF HEALTH
13 October 2021

In efforts to assist the Ministry of Health in curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the country, Baiduri Bank presented a donation in the form of personal protective equipment (PPE) and antigen rapid test kits. The handover took place at the Ministry of Health.

The donations, comprising 5,000 face masks, 2,500 pairs of gloves, 1,000 face shields and 1,000 antigen rapid test kits, were handed over to Haji Maswadi Haji Mohsin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health by Pg Azaleen PD Hj Mustapha, Deputy CEO, Business Development at Baiduri Bank.

Speaking on the initiative, Pg Azaleen said, “The Ministry of Health has been at the forefront of this pandemic since the very beginning. As a show of support and appreciation of their hard work, we hope that this contribution today will allow them to continue to carry out their invaluable service in keeping us safe.”

He elaborated that this donation is part of the Bank’s holistic approach towards helping the country in combating COVID-19. “Prior to this, we donated PPE to EMAS paramedics as well as Sukarelawan Belia COVID-19 last month. We also partnered with The Impian Project, Dart Logistics and Maju Grocer Supermarket to provide assistance in the form of essential groceries to 60 underprivileged special needs families in Brunei and introduced a COVID-19 Relief Fund to facilitate donations from the general public to help raise funds for the Government.” He further added that the Bank has plans to provide further aid and support as part of their corporate social responsibility programme to help other groups in the country during this difficult time.

Also present at the handover was Md Firdey Hazarullah Hj Md Zain, Acting Assistant Director (Procurement), Ministry of Health, and Muiz DP Hj Adnan, Corporate Communications Executive, Baiduri Bank.
