YOU ARE IN PERSONAL BANKING
Bandar Seri Begawan, 01 April 2020 – As part of Baiduri Bank Group’s corporate social responsibility framework, the Bank donated an additional 100 sets of weekly groceries for the medical frontliners involved in COVID-19.
The handover of donations took place today at the Hospital Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah in Tutong. This is the second round of donations made by the group towards easing the burden and strain on medical personnel working round-the-clock shifts to combat the COVID-19 outbreak in Brunei.
The donations, comprising 100 sets of weekly grocery supplies and other basic household necessities, were handed over by Pg Azaleen PD Hj Mustapha, Deputy CEO of Baiduri Bank to Abdul Muiz bin Hj Ibrahim, CEO of Tutong Hospital.
According to Pg Azaleen, “There are many unsung heroes at all treatment centres who work tirelessly to put the community’s needs ahead of theirs during this battle with COVID-19. Our medical frontliners work 24 hours in treating and caring for our patients at the National Isolation Centre and the hospital in Tutong.”
“We at Baiduri Bank Group are doing our part as corporate citizens to help provide some relief with today’s donation, as we are certain that the frontliners may not have time to go shopping. This is our way of saying thank you to all of you during this difficult time.”
The donations will be distributed to the doctors and nurses at their various rest houses and quarters by a team of volunteers.
Today’s donations are part of Baiduri Bank Group’s corporate social responsibility programme which has been expanded to cover those in need during the COVID-19 period. The first round of donations was held last week at the RIPAS Sports Complex.
Also present at the handover was Ak Nor Muhd Nizam bin Pg Hj Tengah, Head of Group Treasury and Institutional Banking and Muiz DP Hj Adnan, Senior Communications Officer.
