YOU ARE IN PERSONAL BANKING
Bandar Seri Begawan, 16 April 2020 – To assist medical personnel fighting the COVID-19 outbreak in Brunei, Baiduri Bank Group presented a donation for the COVID-19 medical frontliners today in the form of personal protective equipment. The handover of donations took place today at the Ministry of Health.
The donations, comprising 240 universal protective kits (UPKs) were handed over to Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohd Isham bin Hj Jaafar, the Minister at the Ministry of Health by Pg Azaleen PD Hj Mustapha, Deputy CEO of Baiduri Bank.
Speaking on the donation of UPKs, Pg Azaleen said, “During the course of their duty, our healthcare workers face the risk of infection and rely on personal protective equipment (PPEs) to protect themselves. We hope that our contribution of UPKs today will help to keep them safe and allow them to continue their invaluable service in treating COVID-19 patients round the clock.”
The UPKs comprise face and eye masks, long sleeve protective aprons, skin wipes, gloves and other items.
Pg Azaleen further elaborated that this donation is part of Baiduri Bank Group’s comprehensive approach towards helping the country during this period of COVID-19. “In addition to these PPEs, Baiduri Bank Group also made donations on 25 March and 1 April 2020 of a total of 200 sets of one week’s supply of groceries to the medical frontliners at the RIPAS Sports Complex and Tutong Hospital respectively as we understand that they may not have the time to do their grocery shopping given their demanding schedule,” added Pg Azaleen. “These donations are a gesture of our appreciation to the medical frontliners for their dedication and commitment, especially during this difficult period.”
Also present at the handover was Ak Nor Muhd Nizam bin Pg Hj Tengah, Head of Group Treasury and Institutional Banking and Muiz DP Hj Adnan, Senior Communications Officer.
