BAIDURI BANK GROUP EMPOWERS FUTURE LEADERS THROUGH DONATION OF SCHOOL FEES
21 February 2024

Baiduri Bank Group held a customer appreciation event in conjunction with Chinese New Year at Serambi Suluh, Tarindak D’Seni today.

A highlight of the event was a presentation of donations for selected underprivileged students from 13 private schools in the country as part of the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.

Ti Eng Hui, Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank, presented the donations to invited representatives of the schools.

The selected schools included Chung Hwa Middle School; St George’s School; St Andrew’s School; Chung Hwa School, Tutong; Chung Hwa School, Kiudang; Chung Hua Middle School; Chung Hwa School, Labi; Chung Lian School; Chung Ching Middle School; St Angela’s School; St John’s School; St Margaret’s School; and Pai Yuek School.

This donation event first began in the early 2000s where the Group sponsored students from Chinese schools as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations. This annual initiative has since expanded to include more private schools in the country with the aim to support students in need of financial assistance by sponsoring their annual school fees. Throughout the years, the Group has supported hundreds of students through this initiative.

“We believe in the transformative power of education. By sponsoring the school fees of students from low-income backgrounds, we hope to ease the burden on the students’ families and enable the students to continue to pursue their studies within the current school environments where they are thriving. This also reaffirms our commitment to fostering academic excellence and creating opportunities for a brighter future,” said Ti Eng Hui.

The event was attended by senior leaders from public and private sectors, foreign dignitaries, business clients and key partners of Baiduri Bank Group.
