BAIDURI BANK HIGHLIGHTS SMART SOLUTIONS FOR MERCHANTS AND CUSTOMERS AT TECHXPO 2025

Baiduri Bank is proud to participate in TechXpo 2025, held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) from 14 to 16 August 2025, where the Bank is showcasing its latest technology-driven solutions designed to enhance convenience, security, and efficiency for both consumers and businesses.

Visitors to the Baiduri Bank booth, open daily from 10am to 8pm, can experience first hand the Bank’s most recent digital enhancements — including a newly upgraded AI-powered chatbot and an innovative mobile payment solution for merchants.

  • Emmi, Enhanced AI chatbot
Emmi has been upgraded from a declarative AI to a generative AI model, offering a more intelligent and responsive experience for customers. The new Emmi can understand complex queries, provide tailored responses, and continue to learn from user interactions to offer smarter support.

As part of the Bank’s ongoing innovation journey, visitors to TechXpo will also get an exclusive first look at Emmi on WhatsApp—a new service prototype that will soon allow customers to connect with Emmi directly through the popular messaging app for even greater accessibility and convenience.
  • Baiduri Tap2Pay – the smarter way to accept payments
A first-of-its-kind mobile payment solution in Brunei, Baiduri Tap2Pay empowers merchants to accept contactless card payments via NFC-enabled Android smartphones.
Built with security and usability in mind, Baiduri Tap2Pay is certified under the Payment Card Industry (PCI) MPoC standards, ensuring a safe and seamless transaction experience. Furthermore, card and personal details are never stored to protect customer data. This payment solution supports major global card brands—including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express—and provides instant digital receipts as part of Baiduri’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

To enhance visibility of the solution in a real-world setting, two Baiduri Tap2Pay merchants—Fiorise and Heritage Bakwa—will be featured at the Baiduri booth throughout TechXpo. Visitors can enjoy exclusive 5% savings when paying with Baiduri Cards, with a minimum spend of BND20 at Fiorise and no minimum spend at Heritage Bakwa.

Important update
19 September 2023

We would like to inform you that with effect from 31 October 2023, Business i-Banking service will no longer be operational, and this will be replaced with our new Baiduri b.Digital Business service.

If your company has not transitioned to b.Digital Business, please ensure that every existing user provides the following by 8 October 2023 through the Business i-Banking Inbox:
  • User’s full name
  • User’s valid Identification Card (IC) or Passport
  • User’s mobile number
  • User's company assigned email address (General company email is not accepted e.g., [email protected])

Alternatively, you can complete the b.Digital Business Amendment Form and submit the form(s) directly to Baiduri Digital Hub, Ground Level, Baiduri Bank Headquarters.

Every user will receive a notification email at their registered email address, once they have been migrated and activated on the b.Digital Business service.

Companies who have not moved to b.Digital Business after 31 October 2023 can re-apply as a new subscriber to the b.Digital Business service. This will require additional documentations to be submitted as part of the application. Refer “Required Documents” here.

Important notice: Our Business i-Banking service will be deactivated soon. To ensure continued access and a smooth transition to the new Baiduri b.Digital Business, please provide your full name, IC, email address and mobile number via Business i-Banking Inbox. If we do not receive updated details from all authorised users, your company will not be migrated to the new platform and a fresh application will be required. To strengthen our online security measures, effective 8 January 2024, we will introduce the cooling period feature on our Baiduri b.Digital Personal web and mobile app to prevent unauthorised access.
