Baiduri Bank held a prize presentation for the winners of the ‘Across the sea and a thousand miles yet still connected’ promotion with Western Union this afternoon at the Atrium of Baiduri Bank Headquarters, 1 Jalan Gadong.

From 1 December 2020 to 31 March 2021, customers who remitted BND300 and above via the Western Union Money Transfer Service at Baiduri Bank earned one chance in the lucky draw. The promotion was aimed to help customers who weren’t able to travel to their home countries and be with their loved ones to celebrate last year’s holiday season.

At the prize presentation event, 13 winners won prizes ranged from shopping vouchers to attractive gadgets.

Nelson Kempis Deocareza won the Grand Prize of a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 smartphone, while Margie Pinque Robas won the second prize of a Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro smartphone, and Feroz Nur Islam brought home the third prize of a Vivo V20 Pro smartphone. 10 other winners also won consolation prizes of BND50 Hua Ho shopping vouchers and BND50 Supa Save shopping vouchers.

Giving away the prizes to the winners was Aariz Patrick Ng, Head of Channel Management.

He said: “With the pandemic, many expatriates and migrant workers were unable to return to their home countries and be with their loved ones during the festive period. Through this promotion, we wanted to offer some festive cheer to our customers and with the positive and encouraging response we’ve received we hope to hold similar promotions with Western Union in the future.”
