Baiduri Bank hosted their annual media appreciation event tonight at the Baiduri Community Space, Baiduri Bank Headquarters. With the theme, ‘Madflix’, a play on words of the popular streaming service Netflix, close to 100 members of the media attended and took part in the activities and games.

Present at the event was Mr Ti Eng Hui, Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank, who highlighted some of the key milestones and achievements this year in his welcome remarks. “Among some of the highlights this year would be the move to the new Baiduri Bank Headquarters, the brand refresh, embarking on technological platforms, collaboration with RB on our latest suite of cards and also notable recognitions.” He also made special mention of the awards that the Bank won in 2020 such as the Domestic Retail Bank of the Year for Brunei from Asian Banking & Finance, the Best Bank in Asia-Pacific for Brunei from Global Finance as well as the Best Banking Group for Brunei from World Finance.

“These achievements are testament to our strength and unwavering commitment towards providing the very best for our customers, stakeholders and partners.”

He ended his speech by thanking the members of the media for their support over the years. “It is through your combined efforts that we have been able to reach the masses, informing them of our initiatives, aspirations and innovations, helping us grow to become the largest leading conventional bank in Brunei today.”

The event featured a number of activities such as a ‘Money Heist’ themed relay race, a movie night themed pass-the-parcel game as well as a scavenger hunt.

Also present at the event were senior management of Baiduri Bank - Pg Azaleen PD Hj Mustapha, Deputy CEO of Business Development, Manuel Bulens, Deputy CEO of Compliance and Corporate Governance, Lim Kian Chiong, Simon Hansman, Head of Group Information and Technology Division as well as Ng Yick Wei, Head of Group Strategic Marketing and Communications.
