BAIDURI BANK INTRODUCES BRUNEI’S FIRST SOLAR PANEL FINANCING TO EMPOWER SUSTAINABLE LIVING

Baiduri Bank marked a major milestone this festive season in its sustainability journey with the introduction of the first solar financing solution tailored for retail customers, extending the leadership it established as the earliest financier of corporate solar projects in Brunei. The offering enables customers to integrate solar energy into their households, making sustainable living more accessible and practical for Bruneians.

As part of the launch, Baiduri Bank is offering Home Renovation Loan from 6.0% Effective Interest Rate (EIR) p.a. with a minimum financing amount of BND10,000. To ensure customers benefit from high‑quality and reliable energy‑efficient solutions, the Bank has partnered with Solara X Solutions and Interline (B) Sdn Bhd, both established providers of solar and energy‑saving technologies.

Home buyers may also enjoy special rates from as low as 4.0% EIR p.a. when enhancing their Home Ownership Loan package with solar financing solutions. These offers provide customers with accessible pathways to invest in long‑term energy savings and build future‑ready, sustainable homes.

The promotional period runs from 1 March 2026 to 31 May 2026. During this time, successful applicants for eligible financing products including Personal Financing and Home Renovation Loan, will be automatically entered into a lucky draw for a chance to win an iPhone 17 Pro 256GB or a Samsung Galaxy S25 256GB. A total of 15 winners will be selected throughout the campaign, with 5 winners announced each month over the three‑month period.

Aligned with national priorities under the Brunei Darussalam National Climate Change Policy (BNCCP) and the long-term aspirations of Wawasan Brunei 2035, solar financing reflects Baiduri Bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting the nation’s transition toward a low‑carbon and climate resilient future. By empowering households to adopt environmentally responsible upgrades, the Bank continues to advance its environmental, social and governance (ESG) agenda.

We would like to inform you that with effect from 31 October 2023, Business i-Banking service will no longer be operational, and this will be replaced with our new Baiduri b.Digital Business service.

If your company has not transitioned to b.Digital Business, please ensure that every existing user provides the following by 8 October 2023 through the Business i-Banking Inbox:
  • User’s full name
  • User’s valid Identification Card (IC) or Passport
  • User’s mobile number
  • User's company assigned email address (General company email is not accepted e.g., [email protected])

Alternatively, you can complete the b.Digital Business Amendment Form and submit the form(s) directly to Baiduri Digital Hub, Ground Level, Baiduri Bank Headquarters.

Every user will receive a notification email at their registered email address, once they have been migrated and activated on the b.Digital Business service.

Companies who have not moved to b.Digital Business after 31 October 2023 can re-apply as a new subscriber to the b.Digital Business service. This will require additional documentations to be submitted as part of the application. Refer “Required Documents” here.

Important notice: Our Business i-Banking service will be deactivated soon. To ensure continued access and a smooth transition to the new Baiduri b.Digital Business, please provide your full name, IC, email address and mobile number via Business i-Banking Inbox. If we do not receive updated details from all authorised users, your company will not be migrated to the new platform and a fresh application will be required. To strengthen our online security measures, effective 8 January 2024, we will introduce the cooling period feature on our Baiduri b.Digital Personal web and mobile app to prevent unauthorised access.
