The annual ‘Let’s Give Back This Ramadhan’ initiative is a series of events aimed at bringing festive cheer to underprivileged families in the country in preparation for Hari Raya.
Now in its seventh year, the ‘Let’s Give Back This Ramadhan’ initiative is part of Baiduri Bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting the community and promoting social responsibility.
Pg Azaleen PD Hj Mustapha, Deputy CEO of Baiduri Bank said, “We recognise the importance of giving back and helping those who are less fortunate. We are proud to be able to support these underprivileged families in our community during this holy month.”
The first event took place today at Soon Lee, Pandan in the Belait district where ten families were brought shopping with the help of Baiduri Bank Group volunteers. The event concluded with the breaking of the fast at V Plaza Hotel.
The families were identified through the Ministry of Education. The Bank also partnered with Setia Motors as the logistics partner for the event.
“Our commitment to social responsibility is an integral part of our corporate culture, and we are happy to be able to make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate,” said Pg Azaleen.
Ramli bin Ahad, Human Resource Manager at Setia Motors said, “It is important to recognise that a little help, may make a big difference to others. This is a good reminder of how grateful we should be with our daily lives.”
Also attending the event was Lim Kian Chiong, Head of Retail Banking at Baiduri Bank.
Let’s Give Back This Ramadhan is part of a broader effort by Baiduri Bank to support the community through various initiatives, including financial health, entrepreneurship and environmental sustainability. The next event will be held on Wednesday 5 April 2023 for underprivileged families at Hua Ho, Petani Mall in Tutong.
