BAIDURI BANK PROMOTES FINANCIAL WELLNESS AT NATIONAL FINANCIAL LITERACY DAY 2026
04 September 2026

Baiduri Bank proudly participated in the National Financial Literacy Day 2026 Financial Awareness Roadshow, as part of its ongoing efforts to improve financial literacy and support long-term financial well-being in Brunei Darussalam.

Organised as part of National Financial Literacy Day 2026, the roadshow was held from 2 to 4 September at The Mall under the theme "Smart Money Habits, Stronger Financial Well-Being." Led by Brunei Darussalam Central Bank and the Ministry of Education, the initiative brought together financial institutions and stakeholders to engage students from higher education institutions through practical financial education, while also extending financial literacy outreach to the wider public.

Throughout the three-day event, Baiduri Bank engaged visitors through a range of interactive financial tools that encouraged greater awareness of spending habits, saving behaviour, and overall financial health. Participants also had the opportunity to take part in a Financial Personality Quiz, helping them better understand their relationship with money while making financial learning more engaging and relevant to everyday life.

The roadshow also provided an opportunity to highlight Baiduri Bank's broader approach to financial well-being. At the heart of this is the Financial Wellness Centre, where individuals can speak with financial planners in a comfortable and supportive setting. Whether they are looking to manage their monthly budget, save for a home, prepare for retirement, grow their investments, or simply gain greater clarity over their finances, the Financial Wellness Centre offers practical guidance tailored to their needs.

Brian Wong, Head of Wealth Management at Baiduri Bank, said: "What makes National Financial Literacy Day valuable is the opportunity for people to be exposed to many different aspects of financial well-being in one place. From budgeting and saving to investing, financial protection and consumer awareness, participants are able to explore topics that can help them build stronger money habits and a better understanding of the choices available to them.

One thing we often find at the Financial Wellness Centre is that people know they want to improve their financial situation, but they are not always sure where to start. That is why financial education is so important. The more exposure people have to different ideas, tools and sources of guidance, the more confident they become in taking the next step towards the future they want to build."

Complementing this approach is the recently enhanced Baiduri Smart proposition, which is tailored for professionals and aspiring achievers looking to build long-term financial well-being while enjoying meaningful everyday rewards. Bringing together preferential rates and fees on selected financing and investment products, exclusive lifestyle privileges, and access to tailored financial solutions, Baiduri Smart is designed to support customers at different stages of life. Together with the Financial Wellness Centre and personalised guidance from financial planners, it provides a more holistic approach to banking and financial planning.

Through Baiduri Capital, the Bank Group also encourages individuals to take a long-term approach to investing and wealth building. Among its offerings is the Baiduri Invest Recurring Subscription Plan, which allows customers to invest regularly over time, helping them develop consistent investment habits and work towards their long-term aspirations.

In addition to financial literacy activities, visitors also had the opportunity to learn more about Baiduri Bank's products and services, including cards, financing solutions, insurance offerings and the recently enhanced Baiduri Smart programme.

Members of the public are encouraged to visit the Financial Wellness Centre at the Baiduri Bank Headquarters to explore its facilities, try out the interactive tools, and speak directly with financial planners. The Centre is open to all Bruneians, not only Baiduri customers, as part of the Bank’s commitment to making financial wellness accessible to everyone.
