Baiduri Bank Rewards Customers For Banking On Baiduri b.Digital Personal

Bandar Seri Begawan, 14 August 2020 – Baiduri Bank, Brunei’s leading conventional bank, held a prize presentation today as part of their promotion in conjunction with the launch of the new Baiduri b.Digital Personal platform. The event was held at the atrium of the Baiduri Bank Headquarters at 1 Jalan Gadong.

Three lucky winners were rewarded with attractive prizes for participating in the ‘b.Ready for What Life Has to Offer’ promotion, which encouraged customers to explore the new digital lifestyle platform and perform their banking activities through the Bank’s new digital offering.

At the event, Yeo Jiun Jet brought home an Apple iPhone 11 Pro, while Siti Zahidah Binti Mohd Kissen won a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G phone and Teo Bee Ching won an iPad Pro 11-Inch Wi-Fi. The three winners were randomly selected as part of the second round of the promotion that ran from 1 May to 30 June 2020. The first round of the promotion period ran from 9 March to 30 April with the winners bringing home similar prizes.

Presenting the prizes to the winners was Goh Wen Feng, Head of Digital Banking, Baiduri Bank.

To be eligible for the lucky draw, customers simply needed to perform any of the following transactions on the Baiduri b.Digital Personal platform: Fund transfers, Bill payments, Phone top ups or POWERinstant top ups. These transactions on the web version earned customers one chance each, while these same transactions made on the mobile app version earned double the chances. In addition, new users who signed up for the Baiduri b.Digital Personal platform during the promotion period stood an even bigger chance to win by automatically earning five chances.

Speaking on the new platform, Lim Kian Chiong, Head of Retail Banking, Baiduri Bank said: “Since b.Digital was released in March, we’ve received encouraging feedback from our users. We will continue to develop more innovative solutions and also roll out more exciting promotions for our customers to thank them for their support.”

He added: “With this new platform, we want to give our customers an enhanced digital banking experience. Customers will enjoy greater convenience as they decide how, when and where they conduct their banking, as well as a faster and safer way to transact using their mobile phones, laptops or smart device of their choice.”

Baiduri Bank unveiled the new Baiduri b.Digital Personal platform in March as part of the Bank’s overall digital transformation and new digital offerings for customers. The app comes with an improved user interface (UI) that is optimized for one-handed use. In addition to the improved layout and features, the app also provides the option of biometric login through facial or fingerprint recognition for a seamless login process. There is also an optional ‘Quick Balance’ feature which allows customers to view a specified account balance with a simple swipe without the need to log in.

Authenticating payments is made easier through the ‘soft token’ feature on the mobile phone. This feature does not require any network connection or physical token which makes authenticating transactions easier whether customers are at home or overseas.

Customers will also have the added assurance that their credit card information is kept secure as the Baiduri b.Digital Personal platform is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliant. This is the global data security standard recognised by payment card brands for entities that process, store or transmit cardholder data or sensitive authentication data.

19 September 2023

We would like to inform you that with effect from 31 October 2023, Business i-Banking service will no longer be operational, and this will be replaced with our new Baiduri b.Digital Business service.

If your company has not transitioned to b.Digital Business, please ensure that every existing user provides the following by 8 October 2023 through the Business i-Banking Inbox:
  • User’s full name
  • User’s valid Identification Card (IC) or Passport
  • User’s mobile number
  • User's company assigned email address (General company email is not accepted e.g., [email protected])

Alternatively, you can complete the b.Digital Business Amendment Form and submit the form(s) directly to Baiduri Digital Hub, Ground Level, Baiduri Bank Headquarters.

Every user will receive a notification email at their registered email address, once they have been migrated and activated on the b.Digital Business service.

Companies who have not moved to b.Digital Business after 31 October 2023 can re-apply as a new subscriber to the b.Digital Business service. This will require additional documentations to be submitted as part of the application. Refer “Required Documents” here.

Important notice: Our Business i-Banking service will be deactivated soon. To ensure continued access and a smooth transition to the new Baiduri b.Digital Business, please provide your full name, IC, email address and mobile number via Business i-Banking Inbox. If we do not receive updated details from all authorised users, your company will not be migrated to the new platform and a fresh application will be required. To strengthen our online security measures, effective 8 January 2024, we will introduce the cooling period feature on our Baiduri b.Digital Personal web and mobile app to prevent unauthorised access.
