Baiduri Bank hosted a sustainability workshop for over 30 of their corporate banking clients today, after completing the same workshop for their employees over the last two days. Held at Baiduri Community Space in the Bank’s Headquarters, this insightful event aimed to highlight the pivotal role of sustainability in businesses and ignite a collective commitment to driving and accelerating sustainability transformations across various industries.
Over 150 employees from across Baiduri Bank and its subsidiaries attended the sustainability workshop, demonstrating their interest and commitment to this very important subject. The workshop drew a mix of staff from both frontline functions, such as sales and customer service, and support functions including HR and risk management.
The workshops were conducted by invited speakers from Schneider Electric including Bess Ng, Associate Principal, Sustainability Business Client Manager; Sofia Tyebally, Senior Sustainability Consultant, Sustainability Business; and Gunjita Jain, Sustainability Analyst, Sustainability Business, who captivated the participants with their insights on sustainable practices.
One of the key takeaways from the workshop was the significance of adopting sustainability as a core business value that not only benefits the environment but also drives long-term profitability and resilience. By embracing sustainable practices, businesses can contribute to a better future while simultaneously enhancing their own success. The speakers also enlightened participants on how they can incorporate sustainable strategies into their own organisations.
