This year’s event carries the theme, ‘Inclusive, Resilient and Sustainable Economic Growth, Brunei Darussalam Perspective’. As an opportunity to showcase the Bank’s digital initiatives, Baiduri Bank has set up shop during the Digital Technology week at the concourse of the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas from 8 June to 11 June 2022.

Among them were Baiduri b.Digital Personal, the Bank’s award-winning digital banking service, contactless card payment solutions, Baiduri Finance Mobile App and HP Online as well as Emmi – the first artificial intelligence chatbot in the Bruneian banking sector. Also being showcased was the Bank’s use of Robotic Process Automation in its day-to-day operations.

Speaking on the showcase, Pg Azaleen PD Hj Mustapha, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Business Development of Baiduri Bank said “The Bank and our subsidiaries have actively been exploring better and more innovative ways to add value for our customers, whether it be at a more tangible interactive level or back-end level with the results providing better quality-of-life by way of a more efficient and improved service delivery. These innovations have been at the forefront of the Bank’s strategy so we are proud to be able to showcase these at the Digital Technology Week.”

He also elaborated that these digital solutions are in line with Brunei Darussalam Central Bank’s vision of Brunei becoming a Digital Payment Nation. “In line with the Digital Payment Roadmap, Baiduri Bank has been steadily integrating the digitisation of our services to complement our existing in-person services, taking on a more phygital approach.”

Also present at the launch was Simon Hansman, Head of Group Technology and Information Division and Ng Yick Wei, Head of Group Strategic Marketing and Communications.

During the Digital Technology Week, the public will have the opportunity to enquire and view videos and live demonstrations of each solution at the Baiduri Bank booth.
