To help prepare army personnel currently undergoing their mandatory pre-retirement course at the Ministry of Defence, Baiduri Bank held a special financial planning talk at the Performance Optimisation Centre in Bolkiah Garrison on Friday, 25 June 2021.
The talk, titled “Money Matters and Lifestyle Goals”, was delivered by Siti Aminah binti Hj Abd Rahman, Manager, Wealth Management and Bancassurance, Baiduri Bank, and saw some 50 officers from the ministry learn how to plan for their futures and remain financially independent after they have completed their service to the ministry and the nation.
The talk covered topics that included what to expect during retirement, how to manage their finances while in this new phase of life, as well as a comprehensive look at the Bank’s wide array of financial products and services that could help them remain financially independent.
Financial planning talks such as these hope to safeguard the financial future of its recipients by inculcating better financial habits and help them make well-informed financial decisions. Licensed financial planners from the Bank were also on hand to offer financial health checks and recommendations based on each person’s financial aspirations.
Mr Lim Kian Chiong, Head of Retail Banking said that through outreach efforts such as these, the Bank can reach out to a wider audience through a more interactive and personal platform, to learn more about their financial goals and aspirations.
