Baiduri Capital recently hosted its investor education session titled “When Markets Move: How to Manage, Strengthen and Position Your Portfolio”, focusing on how investors can better manage and adapt their portfolios amid changing market conditions.
The session was led by Hazelle Soon, co-founder of The Joyful Investors, a Singapore-based financial education firm known for its practical and disciplined approach to long-term investing. The session drew more than 100 participants, reflecting strong interest from both clients and members of the public in understanding how to navigate market movements with a more structured approach.
Building on a series of sessions held since August 2025, the programme has been designed as a progressive learning journey for investors. Earlier sessions, led by Willie Keng, CFA, founder of Dividend Titan, focused on income generation strategies, followed by Gerald Wong, CFA, founder and CEO of Beansprout, who explored broader market outlooks and long-term wealth-building opportunities. This was followed by “Portfolio Construction 101: Building a Resilient Investment Portfolio”, which introduced participants to how different asset classes work together within a portfolio.
The latest session builds on this foundation by shifting focus to managing portfolios over time. Participants were guided through how portfolios can be reviewed, adjusted, and strengthened in response to evolving market conditions, while staying aligned with their financial goals, risk appetite, and investment horizon.
Through practical frameworks and real-world perspectives, the session emphasised the importance of maintaining discipline, avoiding reactive decisions, and approaching market movements with a structured mindset rather than short-term responses.
Commenting on the initiative, Brian Wong, General Manager of Baiduri Capital, said: “We’ve been taking clients through investing as a journey, starting from the fundamentals, to building portfolios, and now to understanding how to manage them through different market conditions. As markets move, it’s natural for investors to have questions. What we aim to do through sessions like this is give them a clearer way to think about those changes, so they can respond in a considered and sustainable way.”
Baiduri Capital’s investor education series continues to guide individuals through different stages of investing, helping them develop a more structured and considered approach as their needs and market conditions evolve.
