Baiduri Bank proudly announces the successful conclusion of the Creators Camp 2024, an event designed to empower and connect local creative minds. This year's event brought together over 140 participants and emphasised the theme of digital storytelling, providing attendees with the tools and inspiration to excel and connect effectively in the digital age.
The Creators Camp brought together budding and seasoned creators for a day of learning and collaboration. The event featured insightful sessions on branding, marketing, and fundraising, with presentations from notable local content creators, influencers, and industry leaders. Among the highlights was a panel discussion with popular content creators, including Sumardi Hedus from Relentless, Salimatul Sa'ada Saleh (@Ninjatutul), and Nabeela Fadzil (@lipstickmyname), who shared their experiences and creative processes.
Ti Eng Hui, Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank, expressed his enthusiasm for the event's impact on the local creative industry. "The Creators Camp is all about nurturing creativity and innovation. We aim to build a strong community of creators, providing them with the business know-how needed to turn their creative passions into successful ventures. This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect, collaborate, and create, driving the growth and impact of our local creative scene,” he stated.
Mr Ti also shared an anecdote from his early days at the bank, highlighting the evolution of the creative scene in Brunei. "When we first produced a TV commercial, we faced numerous challenges due to the lack of local expertise. Today, we have access to a diverse talent pool, including graphic designers, social media influencers, and digital marketers. This evolution shows the importance of adaptability and continuous learning in a fast-evolving landscape."
Jenn Chia, a featured guest at the camp, shared exclusive insights from her decade-long content creation journey. Jenn is a renowned Malaysian content creator, host, singer-songwriter, and co-owner of Terrae. With over 10 years of experience, she has produced numerous successful commercial projects and hosted major events. Jenn's authenticity and dedication to producing her own content have made her one of Malaysia’s top female content creators.
The Creators Camp 2024 has set a new benchmark for fostering creativity and innovation within Brunei's creative industry. Participants were equipped with the knowledge and skills to turn their creative passions into successful business ventures. The event also fostered a sense of belonging and open networking opportunities, further solidifying the community of local creators. Baiduri Bank remains committed to supporting local talents and looks forward to more initiatives that drive the growth and success of the community.
