In conjunction with International Women’s Day, Baiduri Bank launched a campaign to promote financial education amongst women, with the aim of empowering them to take control of their financial future.
From 8 March 2021 to 31 March 2021, complimentary copies of the financial education booklets titled “Power of a Woman” are available at all their branches on a while stock last basis. The booklets contain templates for budgeting, saving and spending tips as well as ideas for side hustles to help women on their journey to be more financially confident.
“According to the 2019 Labour Force Survey, women in Brunei currently represent 40% of the local workforce showing how crucial it is that they are well informed and be financially literate. Our objective as a financial institution is to help individuals break the barriers that prevent them from succeeding financially,” said Ng Yick Wei, Head, Group Strategic Marketing and Communications, Baiduri Bank.
The celebration continues with a social media contest especially for women. To participate, users simply need to complete the sentence “I am amazing because…” by filling in a form on their website at
www.baiduri.com.bn/personal/international-womens-day-campaign. Ten best answers will be chosen to win entry to self-defense classes as well as pampering session vouchers worth BND50 each.
