Baiduri Bank hosted its annual Leadership Forum at the Baiduri Community Space, Baiduri Bank Headquarters, bringing together more than 60 leaders and managers from across the Group for a day of meaningful dialogue and shared learning.
The forum forms part of the Bank’s ongoing commitment to leadership development, designed to strengthen communication, accountability, and collaboration across steams. Centred on the theme “Leading Through Conversations,” the event explored how purposeful dialogue can inspire confidence, enhance performance, and drive organisational growth.
The morning session featured an interactive design-thinking workshop facilitated by Human Inc, where participants explored human-centred approaches to strengthen leadership conversations and build resilient teams.
In the afternoon, a panel discussion titled “Leading Through Conversations in Challenging Times” brought together distinguished speakers: Ahmad Jefri Abdul Rahman, Assistant Managing Director of the Brunei Investment Agency (BIA); Synne Stohlmacher, Principal of Advisory at Human Inc; and Leanord Lee, Head of Corporate Banking and Trade Finance at Baiduri Bank. The session highlighted the importance of authentic leadership, effective communication, and resilience in an evolving business landscape.
Reflecting on the forum, Veronica Chong, Head of Group Human Resources and Administration at Baiduri Bank, shared, “Effective leadership starts with meaningful conversation. When we listen with empathy and communicate with clarity, we empower our people to share ideas, challenge perspectives, and grow together towards a shared vision of excellence.”
As the forum concluded, recognition awards were presented to Heads of Department and their teams in appreciation of their achievements in the 2025 Employee Engagement Survey.
